I wake up this morning at 6:40am, to the sound of Isaak rummaging through his clothes, trying to get dressed, so that he can go sit in line at Target in hopes of coming home with a Wii Fit.
Mind you, Target doesn't even open until 8:00 but he was so excited he couldn't sleep anymore, and said he had trouble sleeping last night because he kept dreaming about it. (eye roll people)
Why does this scene sound strikingly familiar?
Oh yeah, Sydaleigh did the same thing Friday night. Girl wakes up at midnight, can't go back to sleep because she is so excited about going to Hailey's birthday party the next morning. Finally drifts back off to sleep around 2am, but in turn is so tired the next morning from her excitement she can't even enjoy the party.
It's funny in a not quite so funny way.
Just hoping for Isaak's sake and sanity that he comes home with a Fit.
Come on in...

Beat this NEMO!

The fact that my yard floods every time it rains has always been a bit on the annoying side, but yesterday it came in very handy.
Sitting in my living room yesterday afternoon, I was trying to decide what to do next, as Nemo was quickly losing its appeal and we were all getting a bit stir crazy thanks to the rain.
So, as soon as the rain let up, I grabbed Syd's rain boots, jacket, and hat and we headed outside to play-in the puddles!
Before long we had some of our favorite friends over to join in the fun.
To say that we had fun would be an understatement...it was an hour that will go down in my memory bank.
Watching the kids ( and adult) run, and play, and splash, and get completely drenched was quite a site to see...
so-thanks rain! You gave us one heck of an afternoon!

On a not so serious note...
We have had a great week! Summer is great, I am absolutely loving it, the girls are loving it, and we have just totally taken up the summer life of kicking back. We've been playing outside everyday-no exceptions, swimming, going to parks, eating lunch outside, having popcorn picnics, playing with friends, eating fudge pops for dessert ( very messy when you're two so this is a special summer treat), and the list goes on and on. Most days it doesn't even matter to me if we go anywhere ( I usually hate being stuck at home so I always make it a point to get out and go somewhere fun with Sydaleigh), but we have so much fun outside with our toys, and pools, and friends, there's no need to leave. I did, however, say "most" days, because the other days not included in the "most" we still need to get out of the house, or I would go mad. Here's to a great start to summer!!
WHAT ARE THEY THINKING!!!!!!!!
Are you kidding me???!!!!
I'm sitting here, eating my lunch, watching FOX news and a story pops up about a group of girls in Gloucester, MA, at a local high school, who actually made a pact to get pregnant together.
WHAT!
Um, yeah, 18 girls at this school got pregnant this year because they made pact to get pregnant by any means possible in order to raise their kids together.
For crying out loud...this is why I'm scared to send Sydaleigh and Marvelly to school ( I know high school is a long ways away but you see my point).
And, not a single parent of any one of these girls has come forward to speak with the school in an effort to get answers...so either they are embarrassed, or totally okay with it.
I'm just so confused as to why-why, why, why, babies want to have babies.
They have no clue how hard, and demanding, and utterly life-changing it is to have a child.
Did they not get enough love and affection at home??
Did they get the wrong kind of love and affection at home??
Was it peer-pressure?
Did their minds get taken over by aliens? I mean come on!!!!
This is just one of the craziest most nonsense stories I've heard in a long time.
I have two girls, who may still be babies, but won't be forever, and this just makes my heart so sad.
This isn't how it's suppose to be.

I'm tired.
The time is currently 9:12pm, and Marvelly is still awake.
Isaak's at school, Sydaleigh went straight to sleep, but Marvelly apparently decided that she was no longer tired.
So this officially spoils any chance I hoped to get tonight of having some "me" time.
And when I say "me" time, well tonight that consisted of picking up toys, unloading the dishwasher and putting away laundry in my bedroom. Yeah, I know, I'm a wild one!!!
These, however, were all the chores I didn't have time for today, which will now have to wait until tomorrow, so that means something for tomorrow is gonna have to give as well.
Uhhhhh.
I came downstairs with Marvelly to get a bowl of cereal, hoping that while I ate, she would no doubt get very sleepy...but of course there's no milk...can't even eat my cereal...the only milk I have left is frozen because my refrigerator likes to freeze things.
Uhhhh.
Oooohhh, bonus-Marvelly just pooped, maybe she'll go to sleep now.
I'm tired, and the more I write, the more sarcastic and cynical I sound.
So I'm gonna go now and try to wrap this evening up.

cute factor is off the charts!
Just wanted to say that I love having two girls...
(even though some days they are giving away Oscars at our home for best dramatic performance (Marvelly included))
...it's worth it to get to dress them in matching outfits!
It's cheesy, but who cares! it's cute!
seen as how Marvelly doesn't stand I had to document their outfits sitting down, and yes, I know I'm lame documenting my girls first matching outfits.

I am
I am a lot of things...
I have been called a lot of things...
...but today I am choosing to believe that I am more than just what the world perceives.
I am cherished,
worthy to be loved,
valued beyond compare...
I am not being vain,
I'm not self absorbed
-I'm trying to see myself through my Father's eyes.
I am cherished,
worthy to be loved,
valued beyond compare.
The world; you can't bring me down.
I am my King's creation.
I am loved.
Luke 6:22- "Blessed are you when the world hates you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man."
23-"Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. "
